DESCRIPTION

PRODUCT COVERED:

Component - Hermetic type compressor-motor insulation systems designated *Sll22, Sll123 and Sll134A

GENERAL CHARACTER:

The insulation system covered by this Report are for a motor stator for use only in sealed (hermetic type) motor-compressors.

ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS (NOT FOR UL REPRESENTATIVE USE):

Use - These insulation systems, may be used only in motor stators where the acceptability of the usage is determined by Underwriters Laboratories Inc.

Conditions of acceptability- Some of the features which should be considered in determining the acceptability of these systems in motor stators are indicated below.

1. The acceptable constructional features of the motor stators, such as spacings, Insulation thicknesses, thickness and voltage rating of lead insulation (if applicable), etc., shall be determined in the end-use application.

2. The compatibility of the Insulating materials specified in the "Construction Details" has been evaluated with respect to their exposure to the following refrigerants and oils at the maximum temperature specified.
